Commemorative event “El Proyecto Genoma Humano: 25 años después”

The EASIGEN-DS Consortium and CNAG are pleased to invite you to “El Proyecto Genoma Humano: 25 años después”, a commemorative event marking the scientific milestone that transformed science and medicine worldwide.

The event will take place on February 10 2026, in the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, in Madrid, Spain. It will feature a round table with experts reflecting on 25 years of the Human Genome Project and its impact on human health, biodiversity, and the AI challenges that lie ahead.

This gathering provides a unique opportunity to revisit the impact of the Human Genome Project, to highlight the rapid progress of genomic science in Spain and the leadership role that it plays in Europe, as well as the new technologies that are currently transforming biomedicine and improving people’s health
