EASIGEN-DS attended the 4th ESFRI Stakeholder Forum Meetup in Cork, Ireland

ESFRI, the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures, is a strategic body that shapes Europe’s approach to large-scale research facilities. Its main role is to develop a roadmap and long-term strategic plan identifying the most important research infrastructures Europe needs over the next coming years. 

During 22 of September, the 4th ESFRI Stakeholder Forum Meetup took place in Cork, Ireland bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the European research infrastructure landscape. Representing EASIGEN-DS, Ivo Gut, Director of CNAG and Mònica Bayés, Strategy Coordinator, attended and participated in the event.

The Forum provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, build new connections, and be part of the discussions shaping the future of European research infrastructures. Among the main topics discussed were the need to make access to research infrastructures more integrated, user-oriented, and responsive to the needs of the scientific community, while also strengthening the sovereignty and sustainability of Europe's research data ecosystem.

These priorities strongly align with the mission of EASIGEN-DS, which aims to enhance access to advanced genomics technologies, promote collaboration across countries and scientific centers, and continuously adapt its services to meet the evolving needs of researchers.
